again, sorry about the lack of posting
summer has been busier than expected.
i have been working close to full time, trying to go to the gym, and working on a wedding cake as well as going home for a little over a week.
work has been going well, constantly getting busier but nothing too out of the ordinary. we have been featured in magazines such as modern bride and will be shown on Colin Cowies web wedding show soon. we went on vacation in the beginning of july, so i went home to visit mommy.
since
jeremiah recently got his license, he drove me home to NY (which was awesome since i hate driving). at home i relaxed
alot and
scrapbooked with mommy as well as went out to dinner with
grammy and got to see cooper for a little while. i also made
tabitha an
elmo birthday cake for her second birthday. she was shy at first but by the end of happy birthday she had her hands and almost her feet in the cake.
i have also been trying to go to the gym on a somewhat regular schedule, it was going great until last week when i started prepping for this wedding cake. so chances are good i will have about 2 weeks off. but i was running up to 10 miles a day at least 4 days a week. im hoping to keep it up after i finish the cake.
my boss has a friend who is getting married this friday and she has asked me to do the cake, of course i agreed. i have been working on it for a few days now, it is giving me all sorts of problems already though, im getting quite discouraged. from the styrofoam (the bottom two tiers are fake) not shaping how i wanted and the fondant tearing and not sticking, im not really as excited as i initially was. hopefully all turns out well and i can post pictures of it in my next post.
i will be moving out of my apartment at the end of july and going to myrtle beach august 1-9 for vacation with rob and his friends, i can not wait- except for the drive down- i think its going to be a great time. and it will be a nice celebration for myself for making it through a one year lease with 3 other girls, alive.
after vacation i will be going back to new york for most of august, with the exception of a week that i will be coming back to providence (staying at robs apartment) and working so i can both have some income and so my boss does not have to hire a temp to replace me :)
i have recently REread the twilight series, i dont know if i will ever get sick of reading them. i am simply IN LOVE. yep im a nerd but i am a-o-k with that.
so pretty much nothing too exciting. its not very entertaining being in a college town when college is not in session! i cant wait for school to start and have everyone back in the city.
